ArmSafe® Kit with 14AWG wire is rated for 50Amps continuous and 75Amps Burst. BUT these limits are ONLY a guide, see below.*
The ArmSafe® System was created to improve the safety of electric RC models by giving the user better control of WHEN they energize and de-energize their models. This control can help reduce the risk of propeller strikes due to inadvertent motor starts. ArmSafe® is an effective solution for reducing, not eliminating, the risk of injury around high powered electric models. When ArmSafe® is CORRECTLY USED, the user has better control of WHEN they energize and de-energize their RC model. Uses Deans® Ultra Plug® Pat# 5,533,915. ArmSafe® was developed to have all the features RC modelers want:1. High Current Rating2. Small Size3. Proven Connector Reliability4. Easy to Install5. Easy to Use This Kit includes everything for one complete arming system:1 – Arming Base WHITE1 – Arming Plug (Male)1 - Deans Plug (Female)1 – 18” of High Flex Silicone Wire x 14AWG1 - Aluminum Ring (Screw holes get threaded with the thread forming screws!)1 – Piece of Shrink Tubing about 2.25" Long3 - Pan Head Screws (that are actually TAPTITE® TRILOBULAR™ thread-forming screws)2 - Set Screws (sharp point)1 - Allen Wrench (L-Hex Key) 0.050" * The above amperage limits are provided as a guide to help size ArmSafe® for RC models. But this is just a guide, you MUST test all installations at FULL load conditions to make sure that the wire and connectors do not get hot. These amperage guides are rated with 10mph x 80degF air flow for eight minutes, with burst ratings for 5 seconds provided the average current (including the bursts) does not exceed the Max Continuous amperage rating. Many factors will affect the amperage carrying capacity of wire, connectors, and wire harness assemblies such as; wire lengths, air temperature, amount of air movement, quality of the solder joints, wire quality, connector quality, and how long the current flows through the wire.

This product is the best way to safely arm you electric airplane. Top quality connectors and a note to keep your soldering neat and wires routed correctly. You may need to shorten the screws depending on fuselage thickness.

Ive been using this product for a few years on my 12 ft Basler twin to safely connect the batteries from outside the nacelles since I have no access once the batteries are in place, at 44 volts per motor the arc when arming is very loud but the plugs are holding very nicely with very little damage from the spark. My only complaint is the plastic round retaining piece cracked at the set screw point and the receiving end slid in out of reach. I was at an event so I had to do a quick fix with CA, is holding nicely so it will remain that way. I feel comfortable having the batteries connected and turning the radio on knowing nothing will happen till I arm the system. Great product Sharp !!!

I have an E-flite Maule 7 I modified to run parallel batteries in by adding a second battery compartment in the belly of the plane. The "Armsafe" kit allows me to get everything set and plugged in before I arm the plane. Great product...quick delivery...no problems!

I had been looking for this product for some time. Several other places had it listed, but Sharp RC was the only place I found that actually had them in stock! I ordered a few and they were shipped out right away! Thanks, Sharp RC

This device allows instant on/off for my electric RC planes. Only complaint is the soldering of wiring, make it more convenient to assemble or pre-solder the wiring.

Once you have hooked that battery up, you've pulled the pin on a grenade, and all it would take is a lapse in memory or the flip of the wrong transmitter switch to cause injury to you or someone else. Not so with ArmSafe® installed. When you're ready to fly, put in the plug and have fun!
