ArmSafe® Kit with 10AWG wire is rated for 100Amps continuous and 150Amps Burst. BUT these limits are ONLY a guide, see below.*

The ArmSafe® System was created to improve the safety of electric RC models by giving the user better control of WHEN they energize and de-energize their models.  This control can help reduce the risk of propeller strikes due to inadvertent motor starts.  ArmSafe® is an effective solution for reducing, not eliminating, the risk of injury around high powered electric models.  When ArmSafe® is CORRECTLY USED, the user has better control of WHEN they energize and de-energize their RC model. Uses Deans® Ultra Plug® Pat# 5,533,915. ArmSafe® was developed to have all the features RC modelers want:

This Kit includes everything for one complete arming system:
1 – Arming Base WHITE
1 – Arming Plug (Male)
1 - Deans Plug (Female)
1 – 18” of High Flex Silicone Wire x 10AWG
1 - Aluminum Ring (Screw holes get threaded with the thread forming screws!)
1 – Piece of Shrink Tubing about 2.25" Long
3 - Pan Head Screws (that are actually TAPTITE® TRILOBULAR™ thread-forming screws)
2 - Set Screws (sharp point)
1 - Allen Wrench (L-Hex Key) 0.050"

* The above amperage limits are provided as a guide to help size ArmSafe® for RC models. But this is just a guide, you MUST test all installations at FULL load conditions to make sure that the wire and connectors do not get hot. These amperage guides are rated with 10mph x 80degF air flow for eight minutes, with burst ratings for 5 seconds provided the average current (including the bursts) does not exceed the Max Continuous amperage rating. Many factors will affect the amperage carrying capacity of wire, connectors, and wire harness assemblies such as; wire lengths, air temperature, amount of air movement, quality of the solder joints, wire quality, connector quality, and how long the current flows through the wire.

    Works well. Installation was fairly easy, other than the soldering.

    in my opinion I do not think the metal ring was tapped to accept the 2- 56 bolts., the bolts were not self tapping.. If I didn't have a tap I would of been screwed (no pun intended).

    Excellent piece to have installed in your plane to avoid taking the hatch off all the time and safety caution should you have a battery problem.

    Yo make this work for 100 amps you better be excellant at soldering. That is a small tab for that big of wire. It scares me to risk 2000.00 dollars over this connection.
    SharpRC Reply: You are absolutely correct, be SURE to test your solder joints by running your model on the ground under actual flight conditions. After full battery discharge the connections should not get hot to the touch.
